I am from a country whose citizens do not need a visa to enter Tajikistan. Can I experience any problems at the border, while entering Tajikistan?
You must meet certain requirements to enter Tajikistan, even if you are not required a visa:
- The purpose of your trip to Tajikistan must be plausible and comprehensible.
- Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay in Tajikistan.
- You must be able to finance your own living and travel costs.
- You must hold a confirmed return flight to prove that you are prepared to leave Tajikistan before the duration expires.
- You must not pose a threat to security or public order.
Will my fees be refunded if my visa is refused?
All fees are non-refundable and will not be refunded if your visa application is not successful.
Do I have to participate in the Embassy in person for applying for Tajikistan visa?
It depends on your country of residence or the embassy/consulate/Visa Administrative Center’s rules and obligations. In some countries, sending your documents via courier is enough to the embassy/consulate/Visa Administrative Center.
Can the Embassy/Consulate request me to provide additional documents or information?
The embassy may request you to provide additional documents or information, according to your personal situation, even after you have submitted all the required documents mentioned on the official website of the Embassy/Consulate/Visa Application Center.
What do I need for my E-visa application?
You need to have a travel document valid for at least 6 months from the date you intend to enter Tajikistan. Depending on your nationality, there may be additional requirements.
Do I need to enter Tajikistan on the exact date specified in my application?
No. The validity period of your e-Visa begins from the date specified in your application. You can enter Tajikistan on any date within this period. Electronic visa of the Republic of Tajikistan is valid for 90 days, however the visa holder can stay in the territory of the country for no more than 60 calendar days.
If my travel dates change, can I apply for E-visa amendment for change of date?
No. You must obtain another E-visa.
Do I need to obtain a separate E-visa for people accompanying me?
Yes. Each traveller must have a separate E-visa.
The information on my E-visa does not fully match the information on my travel document, can I enter Tajikistan with this E-visa?
No, your E-visa is invalid. You must obtain another E-visa.
I have realized that some information on my E-visa does not match the information on my travel document. I know that my E-visa is invalid. Can I get a refund?
In this case, the fee also cannot be refunded and the applicant should apply for a new E-visa. The applicant assumes responsibility for any mistakes made in his or her application.
Do I have to obtain an E-Visa if I do not leave the international transit area?
No. You do not have to get a visa if you are not going to leave the international transit area.
Do I need to enter to GBAO on the exact date specified on my E-visa?
Yes. You should enter to GBAO which is specified on your E-visa.
How to retry payment?
To retry your payment go to the menu 'Application' -> 'Manage your application'. Fill in your application data and press button “Check”. After this, you should see the button “Pay”. If the payment process is interrupted, the applicant has to retry it after 30 mins.
I didn’t receive any information about my E-visa consideration process, what should I do?
You can always check your application status in manage application.
I would like to stay in Tajikistan for a period of time longer than the visa permits. What should I do?
You can extend your visa at the Main Consular Department of MoFA in Dushanbe, except Tourist visa. The tourist visa cannot be extended.
